Building High Availability Across Mizuho’s Core Financial Tech Platforms with Docker Enterprise
Mizuho International plc (Mizuho International) is the London based securities and investment banking arm of the Mizuho Financial Group, Inc., and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. With a primary focus on client based activities, its wide range of services includes sales and trading in both debt and equity securities, the underwriting of new issues and M&A advisory services.
Mizuho International has a core technology backbone consisting of critical services supporting its financial domain model, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) transportation and orchestration, and business processes. This is built on very robust performant platforms, but these are only as good as the uptime of the servers they run on. After evaluating several options, Mizuho turned to Docker Enterprise to containerize its core JVM applications as a distributed micro-services architecture.
In this session, Mizuho’s technology team will discuss:
· The road to Docker Enterprise;
· The challenges and lessons learnt; and
· The future roadmap and expanded opportunities afforded by Docker Enterprise.
